Most rugs are constructed of sheep’s wool. This varies as some wool is made from camel, bison, rabbits, cattle, swine, horse, yak and goat as well. The wool is spun using spinning machines to produce the yarn which can be combined to form a thicker yarn. The quality depends on the manufacturer, their process, the breed of animal, climatic conditions and the processing procedure. It Is is sustainable, abundant, easy to dye and has excellent durability. However, it is also highly absorbent and this means that it will retain a lot of the contaminants that are in the air and that are left on it through daily use. It also means that the rugs will retain a lot of water inside of them when they are washed, a double bind for rug cleaners all over the world! This is why it is important to wash your wool rugs, as needed, and at minimum once every two years, to ensure that these contaminants don’t bond to the fabric as it begins to wear away. At Babash, we consider all this to deliver the best cleaning possible. Our system is famous in the community for its effectiveness on Wool rugs as it is carefully overseen by experts with over 37 years of experience. Moreover, it is backed by a centrifugal drier which eliminates about 90% of the water in the rug in a matter of minutes to ensure that the rug’s fibers don’t deteriorate, the colors do not bleed, and that it doesn’t hold that “wet towel” smell.
What’s more effective? The meticulous care of a human operated hand process or the power and technology of a machine operated process? At Babash, you don’t have to choose because you get both. Most Wool area rugs demand a complete water immersion cleaning to be cleaned effectively, just like your clothes do, except that wool fibers tend to trap and hold much more pollutants than your clothes will ever encounter, even though you would wash your clothes at least once a week, if not more.
Our experts are some of the best in the industry, with years of training and experience under their belt. Our advanced machinery is custom designed specifically for our process to allow the best possible results. It’s one of the reasons why customers rave about their rugs once they receive them again, which can look better than they ever remember them looking!
